The Chamberlain Network participates in virtual briefing on military & overseas voting
The Chamberlain Network CEO Chris Purdy joined military veterans, military family representatives, and election official Commissioner Lisa Deeley of Philadelphia to discuss the recent lawsuits targeting military and overseas voters in several states and to reiterate why military and overseas voting is a secure and important component of our free and fair elections.
From personal reflections from veterans in the lawsuit states to the comments of a current overseas voter and military spouse, the briefing underscored why all Americans should be supportive of ensuring that our troops and other American citizens living abroad have the right to vote in secure and fair elections.
“As concerns about political violence and threats to election security grow, veterans are stepping up to protect our democratic process. That’s why our community is mobilizing as poll workers and trusted messengers to stand up for our elections and the rights of military and overseas voters. To that end, we’re proud that this year, 1 out of every 8 poll workers will be a veteran or military family member.”
A recorded version of the briefing is available here.
