I am an American, committed to upholding our nation’s values of representative government.

As an engaged citizen, I believe in the importance of our representative republic and the rule of law. I am deeply concerned about the rise in political violence and violent rhetoric. Such violence threatens the foundations of our national union. We understand the high cost of political violence and believe we have a choice to avoid this path.

Therefore,

• I commit to resolving differences peacefully through those democratic processes set forth in our laws and the Constitution of the United States.
